ASIs Ian Simon & Anthony Coleman invited to BSN Showcase!

AllStarInc players Ian Simon (OLB/DE-Monmouth) and Anthony Coleman (WR/KR-Robert Morris) have both been invited to participate in a weekend combine and All-Star game showcase hosted by Beyond Sports Network in Akron, OH March 9-11.

The weekend's activities will be consisting of top players from only the FCS, D-2, D-3, and NAIA levels of College Football.  The players are admitted by "invite only" and it's a great honor to be rewarded with an invite.

"I know Ian and Anthony will represent themselves, their schools, and AllStarInc very well," said Bill Mattis of AllStarInc.  "They're both great kids as well as great athletes.  There's no doubt in my mind that both of them will be playing professionally somewhere in 2012."

Saturday's events will consist of the same combine testing that's occurring in Indianapolis this weekend at the NFL combine.  There will also be two game scrimmages on Sunday where the players will square off and show everybody what they can do on the field.

Mattis added, "The NFL can only bring so many players to Indianapolis, so it's good when these kids get a chance to show what they can do too.  It wouldn't surprise me if a bunch of the players in Akron out perform many of the "big school guys" in Indianapolis.  More and more you see kids from small school making a huge impact in the NFL and CFL.  Just look up and down the rosters and see how many of the players are from small schools these days."

Simon and Coleman are two of AllStarInc's top recruits for the 2012 draft eligible class. Mattis believes the future is very bright for both of them.

"Both Ian and Anthony work very hard every day.  They don't expect anything to be GIVEN to them.  They know they need to earn it.  You can talk to them for five minutes and walk away knowing you just met a fine individual.  I'm anxious to see them shine at this showcase in Akron, and then also at their Pro Days.  When they get the chance to prove their worth, they won't disappoint."
